Natural has raised a $30 million Series A led by Kirsten Green at Forerunner to build payment infrastructure for AI agents. The round brings Natural’s total funding to over $40 million and was raised when the company was 193 days old, according to the company announcement.

The round was supported by Human Capital, Abstract, Genius Ventures, Torch Capital, Restive, SV Angel, Darragh Buckley of Increase, Pablo Palafox of HappyRobot, Paul Klein IV of Browserbase, Akshay Kothari of Notion, Henri Stern and Max Segall of Privy, Pete Kooman of Y Combinator, Dylan Babbs of Profound, Art Levy of Brex, Nichole Wischoff of Wischoff Ventures, Jake and Logan Paul of Antifund, and others.

The company is building what it calls the foundational payments stack for AI agents. Its core bet is that agents will execute a major share of global payment volume over the next decade, creating demand for financial infrastructure that is compliant, auditable and secure.

The signal is clear: agentic commerce is moving from concept to payments infrastructure.

What Natural is building

Natural already has six products live: Wallets, Vaults, Pay, Request, Transfer and Connect. These cover agent wallets, restricted accounts, payment sending, payment requests, fund transfers and platform or marketplace experiences built on top of Natural.

The company also has Voice, Accept and Cards planned soon, followed by Charge, Credit, Direct and Billing in Q4. Together, these products point to a wider payments layer for AI agents: wallets, merchant acceptance, card issuance, credit, direct payment rail access and success-based billing.

Natural says it builds and operates core primitives directly, including ledgering, money movement, multi-bank settlement, multi-currency support, fraud and compliance, agent identity and observability.

Why this matters

As AI agents move from answering questions to taking actions, payments become a critical missing layer.

Human payment flows were designed around people clicking buttons, entering card details and approving transactions manually. Agent-led transactions need different controls: identity, spending limits, auditability, observability, compliance checks and clear rules around who or what is authorized to move money.

That makes Natural’s market more than a fintech story. It sits at the intersection of AI agents, commerce, financial infrastructure and trust.

Natural says it serves companies across agent-native commerce, restaurants, hospitality, property management, consumer finance and business operations. Some customers are creating new payment flows, while others are turning agents into merchants or enabling agents to move and manage money for businesses and consumers.

The market signal

The first wave of AI agents focused on productivity. The next wave will need execution infrastructure.

Payments are one of the hardest parts of that shift because money movement requires precision, compliance and accountability. If agents are going to buy, sell, bill, request, transfer and manage funds, the infrastructure cannot be an afterthought.

Natural’s Series A shows investor confidence that agentic payments could become a new financial infrastructure category. The company is still early, with a 17-person team, but its product roadmap is broad and aggressive.

The bigger question is whether AI agents become a meaningful transaction layer for businesses. If they do, payment systems may need to be rebuilt around machine-led commerce, not only human checkout.
